We lean forward a little more day in and day out,
Hoping for a sign of some sort,
That leap into the present time where our present time is the precedent time,
The day we move closer to Mother Earth and farther away from distasteful norms,
Lost love and breathing hate,
The only filter needed to put between our veggies fresh from the garden,
The edited versions of ourselves placed between time and escape,
Holding out our hands for sickness and blasphemy,
We cover ourselves in modernest until the gases release from our selfish bodies,
The waves arise from pollenized waters,
Death erases the people we worked so hard to hide behind in our filters,
My favorite sunflowers are afraid to bloom here,
Yet I keep watering it hoping one day it will see past what we can not,
It's not enough rain to wash away our sins down the drain,
It's not enough rain to fill our crops with hunger and not greed,
It's just not enough rain to flush out the sorrows that are yet to come once the feeling becomes numb,
We begin to lose our thumbs from overeating on these poisonous plums,
We have run out of time to dig up all the planted crops and refold gravity in earth and pull out a cure,
Standing over top of our universe is the Plague Doctor..
Watching us as we create better means of living and forget Mother Earth will forever be winning,
For she is the one who will outlive our external lives long after we are gone,
In the meantime we dance and sing in our own psychedelic worlds,
We put on the floweriest dresses and grab the world around us and twirl until we hurl,
If anything needs a filter it’s our ozone layer,
Soon all we will have is tombraders, and dead mayors then all of this pollution will laugh at us and say we tried to warn you with natural causes,
Before you make your next move pause bit,
Before were all sick,
Let’s start vomiting out our hearts now that way when the time comes we will be used to it,
Better yet take these psychedelic drugs so it doesn't hurt as much...
